sunday dinner, take one.

dinner places set with china and linens. turkey steaks and vegetables on the menu. norni, skeeter, allyson, greg, and eviejane on the guest list.

evie is having a hard time focusing on the meal and needs some direction. scene unfolds as evie is told to return to her seat, at which point she puts a linen napkin on her head.

evie: (making non-human, 4 year old noises)

greg: evie you need to pay attention to your food.

evie: (looking at her dad like he is a complete fool wondering how you pay attention to food) dad, the food can't talk.

greg: (dad realizes she has a point and that there is no better way to say "eat your dinner" than-) eat your dinner.

scene closes as evie mocks her dad by talking to her food in hushed tones.

I'm glad I to know you are alive and doing well. I was getting worried about you because you hadn't posted in awhile. I can't believe how grown up Evie is these days. She is going to be a heartbreaker when she gets older.
