it looks like it might work out.

it looks like these are going to work out. i have been a little confused over the last few days as to what i signed up for. i work for hp, but i am really employed by marketstar, who is owned by omnicom, who actually provides our benefits. when people ask, i work for hp. my responsibility is to a single product line of network switches, which is probably as boring as it sounds. we work with sales on partner accounts. my assignment is with the end user accounts like google; it should be a good experience. most of my accounts are on the east coast so i will come in between 6 & 7 and leave between 3 & 4. that's an early start, but it is also an early end; no complaints.

i had a thought today about traditional offices like the one i am now working in. you know, the ones with cubicles as far as the eye can see. i decided that that kind of environment in all its functionality, is not conducive to life - human or non-human. although my old office was in a very industrial setting, it had these huge skylights that brought in all the natural light. even in the dead of winter, it felt warm in there. my new office setting smells of electricity, cheap cologne/perfume and dried up coffee stains. just a thought i had today. what am i going to do about it? probably live with it.
