Is it just me, or does 28 sound sooooooo much older than 27? I'm not having a crisis or anything, but it seems like 30 is just around the corner and I still feel 24. Time must go on, though, right?
So, anyway, I had a fantastic birthday! Our little family had a wonderful breakfast of pancakes and fresh fruit, courtesy of Greg and Evie. Then we did some swimming together. Then we dropped Evie off at a sitter and went on a date, which is always fun.
I wore my new birthday shoes, which are just too cute for words--definitely zoom in if you can :) I should have gotten a picture of the shoes all be themselves, but I didn't.

We saw Mama Mia and then ate at Red Robin. It's a must on birthdays because the ice cream cake they give you is so dang good! Zoom in on that too :)! Oh man, I want some right now!

Then the day after my birthday, we went to Greg's parent's house for dinner, courtesy of
Ranonne (thanks so much--those enchiladas were so good), and cake, courtesy of Greg. He made this amazing mint chocolate ice cream cake---
sooooooo tasty! And just for the record, I blew out all the candles but one in one breath--I guess there were just too many to handle this year...And I've heard as you get old, breath control is the first thing to go :)--J/K!

Happy Birthday Al! I am glad you had a great day! Cute shoes!
Happy Birthday! I still feel bad I couldn't babysit, but I'm glad you found someone and were able to have a good time. LOVE the shoes, so adorable. Such a fabulous picture of you. Funny that you went to Red Robin on your birthday because that's where I chose to go with my family. I love their salads and free ice cream cake too! It's pretty much awesome! Anyway, we need to get together sometime. It's been a while!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! That seriously sounded like the best birthday. A good breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you didn't have to make ANY of them, plus a date with your husband, and a nice little party at the end to top it off. Love the shoes and that cake from Red Robin looks very yummy. Mmmmm! It is making me want some too. Glad you had a good birthday!!
Happy birthday to you both! Your angle is so ugly Greg! I'm sure that had to be painful!
Those really are the CUTEST shoes EVER! Happy belated birthday!
Those shoes are adorable! I'm very impressed with the cake that Greg made. I'm glad it was a great birthday!
Happy Happy Birthday Al!!! Glad it was such a great one! :) And Evie looks SO darling in her little pioneer costume. Love it! I'm really loving the wagon idea...maybe next year I'll get creative.
Thanks for the fun pool days. We've loved coming and hanging out!
Love ya
Happy Birthday, Allyson! Impressive cake, Greg. I bet it was delicious. Hope you're having fun in UT. Miss you guys. By the way...LOVE the shoes! Good choice.
Fun pics Al and Greg!!! Evie just gets prettier and prettier everyday. By the way I hope is cool I added you guys to our friends list :} This will be fun to keep in touch
Alli
Happy Day! I love your shoes, and that outfit all together is perfect.
I especially love the decor on the wall behind you. So fun!
Happy Birthday to both of you guys! And Allyson you look great-30 is still far away. :) My only consolation to aging is the fact that when I answer the door, solicitors still ask me if I am the homeowner or "lady of the house." One time someone asked if my mom was home. Jeeze!
Happy Birthday Allyson!!! One thing you got wrong though...breath control isn't the first thing to go, bladder control is. Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything. ;)
Happy Belated. 30 is not so bad, I promise. We all saw Mamma Mia, but didn't like it too much.
Happy birthday, Al! (A little late.) Looks like it was a great day. Can you believe we are all turning 28?! I LOVE your shoes and you look great in all the pictures.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Al! Love the shoes...
