finally!

Bye to our old apartment! Thanks so much to everyone that helped us move!

Signing on the new house!

The new house covered in snow

The new house without snow...finally! Oh, and without that lattice!

Yellow and White walls that came with the house.

Bye Bye yellow wall!

Hello Gray and Teal walls...fabulous, right?! :)

Another "before and after" view of the front room.
We also snagged this gorgeous chandelier on Craigslist--it's my favorite part of the room.
And we found this flower arrangement for 75% off --i loved the price as much as the flowers :)
This is our front door and entry.
These little bad boys were about the death of us. We decided to rip out the carpet and linoleum and put in wood flooring. The linoleum had a wood board underneath it that we tore out with a crow bar and then we had to pull up about a thousand (literally) of these industrial staples. With Greg and I working together, it took about 7 hours. It felt good when we were done to have accomplished such a tedious task, but our hands and wrists paid the price--swelling, bruising, numbness....yes--fun!
Kitchen "before and after" pictures.
Dining Area

I just ordered black and white damask curtains to replace the red ones. They were just a little much for me with the light blue!

I love my pantry! I've never had one in any of our apartments and it makes all the difference with cupboard space!
This is the back door, 2 steps down from the kitchen, into the garage. The stairs to the basement are directly in front of it.

I obviously have some painting left to do around the stairs, but I thought I'd post anyway.

We have an unfinished basement and this is our laundry area.

Future guest room.

Some Food Storage shelves.

More storage shelves.

Another random area. The basement will eventually have a big family room, a bathroom, and a cold storage room in addition to the guest and laundry rooms. Who knows when that will happen, but it will be nice when it does :)

Before and After of the hallway, which is off of the front room.

Greg did such a good job on the floors.

Bathroom off the hallway or "Evie's" bathroom.

Evie's Bedroom--awaiting paint and pictures :)

Our Make-shift family room. Since we only have that front room upstairs, we've turned to 3rd bedroom into a family room until we can get the basement done. Kind of tight, but cozy!

And our room isn't quite ready for pictures but I wanted to show our new bedding. We've been married for nearly 6 years and this is the first "real" bedding we've had. I absolutely love it!

And then I couldn't get a good picture of our bathroom, but it's similar to the other one. One sink, a toilet, and a shower/tub, but ours has a window which is nice.
So there you have it! We absolutely love our house and our neighborhood. It's a huge blessing to be able to live in such a wonderful place!

I love your house and how you've decorated. It looks so nice! Love the chandelier and your bedding too. Brett and I are the same way. We just barely got our first bedding set and real bedroom furniture. I guess that comes last since it isn't seen as much.

You guys are so awesome! I'm glad you're finally in your new house. I have to say I'm excited for the time when we can settle somewhere for a while - we're kind of nomadic right now. We'll be out in June, we should try to get together. Keep up the good work!
