al found a sweatsuit that had belle on it at costco for $8. she thought, this is cheap and evie would like it. when evie wasn't looking, she hid it under all the food. she was careful making the transition from cart, to cashier, to box, to car, to plastic bag in the closet. that night, we were running a few errands and there was a lull in the conversation. evie said, "dad, guess what? i'm getting a belle jacket for christmas." i hadn't heard anything about it, so i was like "wow." allyson was floored. the funniest part is that she waited until 8 o'clock to say anything about it. when she finally said something, it was kind of condescending towards allyson; like, "you thought i didn't know, didn't you?" silly girl.

WOW...it reminds me of when she tried to get Greg to say it was OK for her to have a binki on her walks with Allyson. You really can't put one past that girl.

That is too funny! She is much too observant. I just love that she knew it was for Christmas. It wasn't just that she was getting it, she knew Allyson was hiding it from her and therefore it must be a present. That is a pretty smart one!

Haha! Too funny. C'mon Allyson, did you really think you could get it past her?! I actually tried hiding a toy for Chase below the cart, but of course he spotted it. Luckily after a busy day and a long nap-he seems to have forgotten it- at least until he opens it on Christmas-but hey, what do ya do?
She is hilarious and obviously very observant. Sorry, Al, but that makes for a great story!
