Some of our friends put together a big 4th of July party every year in our neighborhood. We're usually out of town, but this year we were able to join in the fun. It started out with a little bike/scooter parade for the kids.
Then the fire department came and squirted the kids with their hoses and let them check out their equipment and trucks. Evie and all the kids thought it was great!
I didn't get pictures of the giant water slide, dump buckets, jump house, snow cones, and cotton candy...but they were all there :). Hopefully we'll be around for next year!
