Hoping to adopt...

Many of you may already know, but we wanted to let everyone know that we are hoping to adopt. We have known for several years that having more children was not going to be easy. Learning all this was hard to digest since having EvieJane was relatively ordinary; normal pregnancy, normal delivery, no complications. It wasn’t until we started seeing doctors that we realized what a miracle it was having Evie. We have seen several doctors and even did a round of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) back in 2008 that ended in a miscarriage. We had high hopes for the procedure and the heartbreak seemed like more than we could handle at times. It really stretched us to our limits emotionally, physically and financially. As with most difficult things in life, we learned how to deal. We are grateful for the support and prayers through that hard time. Trying to look beyond our own trial helped us realize that everyone has difficult things to go through. So, here’s hoping for another miracle…

We have been told that it is good to get the word out, and that is what we have decided to do. We are working through LDS Family Services. If you are interested in viewing our family profile, you can go here. We really appreciate the love and support!

Greg and Allyson,

First of all THANKS for all of the updates. It was so fun to see what you have all been up to =-) I still can't believe Evie is that big, because she will always be my favorite, little nursery girl in my memory.

I just wanted you to know that my brother is adopted, and my parents went through LDS Social Services. I was actually about Evie's age when he joined our family. Adoption is a beautiful thing, and I know you are going to be such an answer to prayers for someone out there, just like they are going to be the answer to yours. We will be thinking of you.
