Well, I figured since it's nearly been a year since I've posted that it was probably time :). So, in my usual fashion, I will be back-tracking starting here with "Part 1"
So, my youngest brother, Matt, got married in January 2009 to Telicia, who is an absolutely darling girl from Arizona. I actually didn't meet her until their wedding day (the joys of living away from family), but I've just loved her ever since. Congrats you guys...over a year ago--my bad!
Then there was Easter 2009. Evie just looked too cute to not acknowledge!
Here's a random picture of Evie's beautiful hair. I convinced her to sleep in the spongy curlers overnight (not a pleasant experience for her; this was the one and only time it's happened) . As you can see, the results were gorgeous. I wish curlers weren't so uncomfortable to sleep in.
Spring Swimming Utah-style. Evie and her friend Weston were just dying to swim in the play pool, but I knew it would be freezing, so we opted for buckets...which were also freezing. They still had fun, though, and it was hilarious to watch. In June 2009, we had our 6th Anniversary. Pei Wei and Shopping--fun times.
And Greg surprised me with a kitchen island as an anniversary present. I have just loved it. It is just what our kitchen needed to feel complete.
And we also completed our deck last spring. It was great to have a place to hang out and BBQ. And since we don't have a fenced yard, it's been a nice place for the dog as well.

I hated spongy curlers too. What I have found to be more comfortable is using rags. I use a strip of fabric like 6 inches by like 2-3 inches (whatever I have left from projects) and I roll my hair around them (like spongy curlers) and then tie it in a double knot. They're not so uncomfortable at night and the ringlets turn out just as cute. Jeremy calls me Medusa when I wear them, but he likes the end result. :)
I bought the sponge curlers hoping Katelyn would wear them. I haven't convinced her yet and I really don't blame her. Plus I know it wouldn't curl as beautiful as Evie's hair and would probably last 15 minutes. :) Maybe I should try them. :)
